A versatile basic layer, our Double Stitch Cotton Comforter offers midweight warmth with the easy care and breathability of cotton. It’s made with our best-selling, 300-thread-count organic sateen for a luxuriously soft feel. Double box stitching adds pattern and keeps the fill evenly distributed to avoid cold spots or clumping.

Use the comforter on its own like a quilt or as a duvet insert, or layer it with blankets or a down duvet to create a cozy nest. If you choose to use it without a cover, the colors coordinate with our sateen sheets. Cotton fibers give this piece a heavier, cooler feel than down—the weight and warmth are more comparable to a synthetic comforter, but made of 100% organic cotton inside and out.

Care

All of our organic cotton products are machine washable. We recommend machine washing on the gentle or delicate cycle with like colors, with cold water and a natural, plant based laundry detergent. We do not recommend using whiteners, as bleaching agents may diminish the brilliance and depth of the colors; when needed, use only non-chlorine bleach. Line dry, or tumble dry low and remove promptly. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets reduce the absorbency of cotton textiles and are not recommended. Place a set of our wool dryer balls inside the dryer to naturally soften the fabric and reduce drying time. Use a warm iron as needed.
